Our prayer is that, through Weekday Early Education, children will experience God's love for them through loving relationships in a Christian environment.
The
WEE program is a vital part of Edwards Road Baptist Church’s ministry to preschool children and their families. We strive to teach children rather than merely provide daycare. Our teachers are committed to promoting the growth and development of each child by providing a quality Christian program within the church setting. Our prayer is that these children experience God’s love for them through loving relationships in a Christian environment.
Our Purpose
- To feed the intellect of a child’s mind with age-appropriate instruction and learning experiences
- To provide opportunities for continued physical development
- To expand the child’s social outlook to include the acceptance of all people
- To develop emotional confidence that comes from being a child of God
- To establish the roots of God’s unconditional love in the hearts of children
Curriculum
The WEE Learn curriculum is the basis for the classroom instruction. The WEE Learn curriculum provides a range of age-appropriate activities designed to lay a foundation for understanding God, Jesus, the Bible, church, self, family, others and the natural world. There are specific objectives for each age levelwhich we strive to have each child master.
School Term
Edwards Road Baptist Church WEE program begins the day after Labor Day and ends the Wednesday before Memorial Day. The program schedule is based on the Greenville County School District calendar and follows the same holiday schedule and bad weather policy as the District.
Edwards Road Baptist Church WEE program offers two distinct programs. Each admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin.
